HELPFUL TIPS WHILE ROAMING:
1.If you do not wish to receive incoming calls while roaming, have the Voice
Mail service activated while you are still in the Philippines. Once activated,
forward all calls to the Globe Handyphone Voice Mailbox or to another number in
the Philippines before departure to receive messages even while abroad. If you
divert all your calls to the Voice Mail, no fees will be charged to you.
However, if you retrieve your messages from your Voice Mail, this will be
considered as another outgoing call. If you divert your calls when busy or when
there is no answer, applicable fees will be charged. This call will first be
connected to the roaming country and will be considered as an incoming call. If
your phone is busy or is not answered at that time, the call will be forwarded
back to the Philippines and will be considered as an outgoing call.
2.Bring the phone manual with you while roaming.
3.Make sure that charger can operate at the power voltage in the roaming
destination (110v or 220v). It may also require an adapter plug for your
charger.
4.Make sure that the handset is compatible with the GSM network of the country
to be visited. For USA and Canada, a GSM 1900 handset is required. For other
countries, a 900/1800 GSM mobile phone may be used.
5.The Message Center Number to be used while roaming should be +639170000130.
